Blood & Guts: A Short History of Medicine

Blood & Guts: A Short History of Medicine by Roy Porter

I read the above book in my subject in human sciences in last July. I liked it. It is a wonderful writing of Roy Porter. The chapters are divided in issues, such as : Diseases, Doctors, The Human body, The lab, The Hospital etc… and it finishes in treating the history of the different medical systems in the Western countries. Reading such books and subjects give you more values and make your study and interest more interesting. Certainly I had to add the above book to some more material to achieve the subject “human sciences”, one of these was aslo the history of the different theories in Psychology.
